that's right kids... It's been a while, and I feel like updating on the artsy side.

So, here's the news:

First, I have FINALLY got into writing my story, you know, the one that I have been milling over for almost two years now. I have finally found a place to start and am making some real progress.

Also, on the story note, I have been pulling up my old notes, sketches and designs and was thinking that if I could find an affordable solution, I'd like to start drawing people into the universe I have dreamed up.

What on earth does that mean? Well, foremost I'd like to get the patches finished for each of the guilds in my story, then put a "Which side are you on?" of sorts. This is a while down the road, but I should have the designs all finished once I get my hands on Illustrator.

Secondly, I have sorta started making steps to do a new jewlery project. I really awesome bookmark design. I have the templates and such in order, but not the money to make it possible. So I'm holding off on that project for the time being until I can aquire the pieces.


So that's the art news. Haven't drawn really all summer, but have been reading and getting some writing done. Hopefully I can start putting chapters up from my story for people to see, but it's going to be a little bit before that happens.

Time, once again, to post in this journal about the state of affairs with my art.

Alright, working on two piefces, but may only be able to post one of them. The first can be seen on my VCL Gallery under sketches. It still needs a lot of work and I want to do a background and may even color it (that's why there are just the outlines). But I do not have time to color, so I don't know when exactly I will finish it. But that piece does mean a lot to me... Yay, symbolism.

Second piece I am working on is a vast improvement on my current style and technique. I used to use other art for references when I said to myself, "wait... There are plenty of photos of any post I could possibly want to draw, and nothing like using the real thing" so the anatomy is perfect, but not exactly what kind of inking and detail techniques I want to use. I really want to use some of Psudo Manitu's style in the way he inks, but I have a real hard time trying to draw those kind of lines and make them look 3-d and believable.

The downside of the second piece is that I am drawing it on 11x14 paper when most scanners are 9x12. So I may never upload it but get it matted and put it in my portfolio to show off. I put it on that paper so I could not only try drawing from reality but also draw big and get detail in there... Also using india ink and crow quills... so I have no idea how it's going to turn out.

Okay, so I haven't bloged in a long time, but what better reason to?

It's TWO YEARS for Kiz and I, and I love her now more than ever. Have everything in order for tonight. I can't wait...

Okay, I know the above isn't dev related, but I don't care...

I'm deciding to upload more to my VCL account (seeing as it gets more traffic) and only upload good finalized stuff here... I'm really tired of puttin' up scraps. There won't be any uploads for a while seeing as I won't have acess to a scanner and software until after the holidays, but no biggie... I'm working on a new piece that I am loving, and gettin' better at figures.

Also, there is a slight chance I may upload my Kitsune rules that I've been working on on the side, seeing as I have a new Laptop ariving in a week or so... also lookin' for chainmaile takers seeing as I've just about cleared out every commission, so if ya want chain, drop me a line, we'll chat, do luch darling... *too much incredibles*

Alright, so I haven't uploaded or even touched this site in ages... *looks over* alright, two months, but that's beside the point. I haven't finnished any art yet, and I need to get a digi camera to take pictures of chainmaile (actually almost finished with a vest commission and may have another comission on the way!)

Have a handfull of sketches up in the "Scraps" section, but nothing "finished" for the main page. I have a friend's char pic that should get done in the near weeks, and a cool kiz gift. Also, I want to do some landscape stuff for the story (that i can't seem to write). Trying to do a little more sci-fi, break out of the normal fantasy catste that I have done forever. And playing with new fantasy designs to expand into better looking stuff.
